Arizona

For some people, an unforgettable vacation means great lodging and being pampered at a luxury resort, with elegant restaurants and full-service spas a short stroll away. For some, it means spending days in the saddle and nights sleeping in a bedroll under the stars. For others, it means relaxing for a night in a historic hotel or a lodge in the mountains. Whatever your lodging taste, you'll find just the right accommodations in the Grand Canyon State and its hundreds of lodging options including resorts, hotels, motels, RV parks, campgrounds, cabins, dude ranches, and B&Bs.

In Arizona, with bright sunshine and fine weather year-round, you'll find endless places in which to sail, fish, swim, stroll, tramp, run, paddle, pedal-- and even just sit and be amazed. You can ascend to the sky by balloon or hang-glider, explore the dark depths of great caves, raft whitewater rivers, and put miles between you and civilization on the back of a trustworthy horse. You can get a close-up view of plants and animals in the wild, or at Arizona’s many zoos, parks, and botanical gardens.

History comes alive at every turn in Arizona, where the spirit of Geronimo, Wyatt Earp and Padre Kino live on. Explore the locations steeped in heritage and dedicated to our Old West, Mexican and Native American culture. You'll find yourself intrigued, as well, by a remarkable array of fine-art venues, including historic theatres, colorful galleries, and renowned museums.

With over 325 golf courses and counting, Arizona has a tee time and a skill level for everyone. Several of Arizona's golf courses are included in Golf Digest's list of America's greatest 100 Golf Courses and 15 holes are on its list of the top 500 in the world. The PGA and LPGA each hold two tournaments in the state; the most popular, the Phoenix Open, draws over 400,000 spectators a year.

Whatever your interests, Arizona has something for everyone.
